Sandals Emerald Bay Excursions

While Sandals Emerald Bay was a popular adults-only all-inclusive resort in the Bahamas, it is currently closed and being renovated to become a Beaches resort. These family-friendly resorts are a sister brand to Sandals, so it promises to offer the same level of luxury, quality, and service.

Sandals Emerald Bay were similar to those offered at the remaining Sandals resort in the Bahamas, which is in Nassau. One of the most popular Sandals Emerald Bay excursions was to see the famous swimming pigs. Why is Sandals Emerald Bay closing?

Sandals announced in August 2024 that they were closing Sandals Emerald Bay in order to turn it into Beaches Exuma, a family friendly all-inclusive resort. This will be the fourth Beaches resort and the first one in the Bahamas; others are Beaches Turks & Caicos, Beaches Negril, and Beaches Ocho Rios. Beaches Exuma will still include access to the 18-hole championship golf course that guests loved at Sandals Emerald Bay, along with the addition of multiple amenities aimed at kids and teens.
